I have literally spent most of my life in healthcare, starting at 16 years old as a volunteer in a local nursing home. From there I climbed my way up the ladder to where I am today as a pediatric cardiovascular intensive care registered nurse. I have always had a heart of caring for those in need and I tend to be drawn to those that are the most critical. I believe God has led me here to this help this specific population because the need is so great. When I started working with congenital heart disease my eyes were opened at the massive need that goes way beyond just basic nursing and my heart broke for these babies and their families. This was when I knew God put me here to shine a light and make a difference and now I am in a position to not only make that difference but also to give you the opportunity to make a difference in the life of these babies too.
At Tiny Hearts, we care for even the smallest members of the family! From infancy on we're here for the whole family. A diagnosis of congenital heart disease is stressful for the whole family! Imagine being told your child, baby brother or sister needs immediate surgery or they may not survive. Imagine being told your babies heart could stop working at any moment. We are here to provide whatever support and comfort we can for the patients and their families.
